FORBIDDEN NEED BY LEE COLGIN : BOOK REVIEW

Forbidden Need (They Bite #3) by Lee Colgin

BLURB

As Rudy adapts to life in a new town, he lays eyes on a man whose very presence steals his heart. The man is bewitching. Bewitching…and grumpy.

Samuel has no interest in the coyote shifter who’s been following him around like a lovesick pup, even if he is adorable. Adorable…and persistent.

Born a vampire before the Great Wars, Samuel’s had plenty of time to make enemies. If he can’t discover and kill the one who’s been stalking him, it could be Rudy who pays the price. Samuel doesn’t do relationships, and he won’t bend the rules for Rudy, but that doesn’t mean he wants the coyote hurt. Stuck together as Samuel plots revenge, Rudy finally has his chance to win over his mate.

Can they harness the power of their fated bond, or will Samuel’s dark past overcome the future they’ve yet to claim?

REVIEW

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is book 3 in the They Bite series.

It can be read as a standalone but, it is better to be read in the series order as characters appear in the previous books.

“You’re the most handsome person I’ve ever seen.”

The man rolled his eyes.

“You must get out more. Or on second thought, don’t.”

Rudy is just setting in the small town of Stonesburg. He'd chosen to move here to be closer to his friends from university. When he ventures into the Eternal Knight Club to meet other coyote shifters for a drink, he lays eyes on the  most beautiful man he has ever seen. When he approaches the gorgeous man and offers to buy him a drink, the man not only rejects him but does so very cruelly with an air of indifference and irritation.

But even so after the harsh rejection, his desire doesn't diminish in the slightest.

I’m not your mate, but I could be your executioner.

Samuel is perplexed by the outrageous and bold were-creature. He couldn't tell what breed of shifter he was, but he was handsome enough, though quite pathetic with his eager advances.

He had given up romantic trysts a long time ago and he certainly wouldn't be breaking his vow for an overgrown, eager pup, anytime soon.

Samuel is definitely not interested in the young shifter and they certainly aren't mates. But why is it that he finds his scent so intoxicatingly delicious but moreover why does he want to bite him so badly?

This was such a sweet enemies to lovers romance, featuring fated mates, a prickly vampire, an adorable coyote shifter and lots of snarky banter.

If you're in for a mood for a cute paranormal romance between a grumpy vampire and a persistent coyote shifter, with low angst, a compelling plot and all the feels, this might interest you.
