Nicholas Staples has finally had it with his dragon companion. He can't sense what Phin is feeling and he's tired of always coming in second.

To shake himself out of his present stupor he plans to leave his dragon behind and start afresh, hoping to find his happiness elsewhere.


Fifty years ago, Phineas, found his most important treasure on a random trip to the human realm. He met an enigmatic man with the most beautiful smile outside a theater in Toronto. Since then he has never left his side, persisting and slowly wining him over.



When Nick abandons him, Phin has no other option than to chase him down to the human realm.

Can a lightning dragon discover the joy of being his true self and claim back his greatest treasure along the way? 


This was an adorable story of a clueless dragon who has to woo his mate and claim him back.

I loved the world building and the humor. Definitely looking forward to more from this author.
