Summary
Daniel is
driving his new sports car from Cincinnati to Nashville, he notices a
hitchhiker thumbing on the side of the highway. In the blink of an eye, a
simple game plan forms in the young scholar’s mind. Pulling over, the student
offers the sexy older man a ride…with conditions.
Mike
accepts the conditional offer from the very handsome and arrogant rich boy.

was a simple one…at first.
Excerpt
Sometimes
the gods smile on even their least creations. In the distance, I saw the shape
of a man suddenly materialize. As I drove closer, I saw he had his arm out and
thumb out, like a hitchhiker. I immediately turned my loud music off and slowed
the car down to observe the manifestation. I was almost sobered up, so this man
with an athletic build standing at the side of the highway was not an
apparition, but the real answer to my prayers. He was wearing a baseball cap,
had long blond hair, and was in a tight pair of tattered jeans. Sitting next to
him on the road was a small duffle bag. He lowered his arm, and I confirmed
yes, his thumb was definitely up, which made it obvious that he was
hitchhiking. Which of course was illegal, but who cares, I’m driving drunk and
I’m not judging.
Lust
overpowered my sense of reason, no doubt it had something to do with the
several drinks I had had in Cincinnati, but I decided I was going to pick him
up… conditionally. I mean, gift horses and pigs in the mud and all that.
I was
nervous as hell as I pulled my sleek little sports car off the highway not far
from where he was standing. He grabbed his camo duffle bag and ran up to my car
with a genuine smile of relief on his face. I lowered the passenger side window
and switched on the interior lights. I very quickly did a summation of him. I
guessed that his shoulder-length blond hair was sun-lightened, he looked like a
surfer or someone being outdoors a lot. His eyes sparkled with a shade of blue
in the dashboard light. He had a thick dark beard shadow, unusual for a blond.
He was about my height, but definitely more muscled and absolutely packing what
appeared to be a full basket. “Thank you, Lord” I quickly covered all my bases
being thankful and showing appreciation by making a mental note to “attend mass
every Sunday for a year” while scanning the hunk hanging on the side of my
car...

Stefan Pride has
been writing since he was in grade school. It was while attending university in
NYC he developed a love of m/m romance. After earning his undergraduate
degree he did his master's studies at the University of Michigan. Finding that
writing m/m fantasy was a great way to relieve stress, he continued his writing
while living with his two dogs in California, Texas, and now in the mountains
of Arizona.
